About Relofix

Local support for finding a home in Barcelona

Relofix helps international clients navigate Barcelona’s challenging rental market with reliable, on-the-ground support.

Finding an apartment in Barcelona can be complicated — especially when searching from abroad or when you’re unfamiliar with the local process. Between competitive listings, language barriers, and rental requirements, securing the right home often takes much more than simply browsing online platforms.

Relofix was created to simplify this process by providing practical assistance, local insight, and honest guidance throughout the apartment search.

The Barcelona rental market moves quickly and many listings require in-person visits. Relofix helps international clients navigate this process with local support.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Vladislav Jarov

I’m a Barcelona local who understands firsthand how challenging relocating and finding housing can be.

Although I was born in Toronto, Canada, I was raised in Barcelona and have spent most of my life here. This gives me a deep understanding of the city, its neighborhoods, and how the local rental market works.

I speak English, French, Spanish, and Catalan, and also communicate in Russian, which allows me to assist clients from many different backgrounds.

My goal with Relofix is simple:
to provide the kind of support I wish I had when relocating myself.

My relocation story

In 2017, I decided to move back to my birthplace, Toronto, to start a new chapter abroad.

Like many people relocating to a new city, I quickly realized how difficult it can be to find housing without local help. Navigating unfamiliar rental platforms, contacting landlords, scheduling viewings, and understanding requirements was overwhelming — and there was no one to guide me through it.

Later, I moved again to Montreal, where the challenges continued. Between bureaucracy, housing searches, and settling into a new environment, I experienced firsthand how stressful relocation can be without local support.

In 2023, I returned to Barcelona, and even here — in the city where I grew up — finding the right apartment required multiple searches, viewings, and negotiations before finally settling with my partner in the Poblenou neighborhood.

Those experiences are what inspired the creation of Relofix.

Why I created Relofix

After experiencing relocation challenges across different cities, I realized how valuable it is to have someone local on your side.

Relofix exists to help people relocating to Barcelona:

• avoid wasted time on unsuitable listings
• get honest feedback about apartments
• navigate communication with landlords and agencies
• understand the rental process with confidence

Professional background

Before launching Relofix, I spent over 7 years working with international clients in customer service and event operations, supporting people from all over the world.

My experience includes working at major international events in Barcelona such as Mobile World Congress and Alimentaria, where I assisted thousands of visitors with check-ins, consultations, and problem solving.

I also worked in management and coordination roles in fast-paced environments, including:

• Office coordination at Razzmatazz Club
• Team supervision at Hudson’s Bay Company in Canada

These roles strengthened my skills in organization, communication, and delivering high-quality service in dynamic environments.
